'We suggest wearing useful clothing and flat shoes,' the V&A East Storehouse's website reads. 'The metal grid flooring is not ideal for stilettos or kittycat heels.'

However, the princess appeared entirely at ease and masterfully managed the irregular floors, even while wearing a set of tough heels.

When asked about Kate's option of shoes, Tristram Hunt, the director of the V&A, informed PEOPLE magazine: 'She is a professional! She dealt with that!'

He added: 'She had a very energy. She was very energetic and focused. We last saw her about two years earlier.
